Its dyeing content in alkaline insurance powder is pale yellow light olive, which can be restored to its original color and lustre upon oxidation.

Used in Textile Industry:
Sulphur Blue 7 is used as a dye for cotton, hemp, viscose fiber, and vinylon/cotton blended fabrics. It is also used in cotton direct printing and leather and paper dyeing.
Standard:
Sulphur Blue 7 has moderate acid resistance, severe alkali resistance, and light fastness rated 4-5 on the ISO scale and 5-6 on the AATCC scale. Its fulling, perspiration fastness, and soaping fastness are rated 3-4 (Alkali), 4-5, and 3, respectively, on the ISO scale.
